Cooling Center In Seal Beach To Reopen This Weekend Amid Heat Wave

With triple-digit temperatures expected across Orange County this Labor Day weekend, officials plan to open the city's cooling center.

SEAL BEACH, CA — As a heat wave promises to scorch across California this Labor Day weekend, city officials have scheduled to reopen a cooling center in Seal Beach on Saturday through Tuesday, the City of Seal Beach said in a news release.

Residents in need of a break from the heat can visit the cooling center and enjoy free air conditioning, water, television and seating.

Hours for the city's cooling center are as follows:

On Saturday and Sunday, the cooling center will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Monday and Tuesday, the cooling center will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
