Coroner IDs Garden Grove Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Sunday

An early morning crash claimed the life of a Garden Grove resident, as he rode through the city of Seal Beach, CHP says.

SEAL BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist from Garden Grove was killed early Sunday morning while riding on the San Diego 405 Freeway in Seal Beach.

Robert Carson, 48, died from injuries sustained during that crash, according to the Orange County coroner's office.

At just after 4 a.m., Sunday, Carson was traveling northbound on the 405 San Diego Freeway, just south of the San Gabriel River Freeway.

For unknown reasons, Carson crashed into the right shoulder wall on the 405 in Seal Beach, California Highway Patrol reports.

Witnesses told the CHP the motorcycle struck the right shoulder wall and that it was possible two vehicles hit the ejected motorcyclist.
