Coroner IDs Garden Grove Man, Killed In NorCal Shooting

GARDEN GROVE, CA — A Garden Grove man died from injuries sustained in a shooting in Northern California this week, reports say.

Police identified Janath Liyanage, 32, of Garden Grove as the victim of a shooting in the 500 block of 20th Street, in the city of Oakland, Calif. just before 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Liyanage was pronounced dead at a local hospital about two hours later, police said.

Authorities haven't disclosed any information about suspects or a motive in the fatal shooting.
