Disneyland Security Measures Changing the Way you Downtown Disney

There will be a more seamless entry from the Disneyland resorts into Downtown Disney according to the theme park.

ANAHEIM, CA — Disneyland visitor screening is changing a bit, according to the theme park.

"We are moving our bag check and metal detector screening locations to the point where guests first enter our property," a Disneyland Resort spokesperson said.

The screening locations for park entry will move from the Esplanade to Downtown Disney. In Downtown Disney, there will be two point of entry locations: one between ESPN Zone and Rainforest Café and one between ESPN Zone and Earl of Sandwich. The Mickey & Friends parking structure will now require screening before visitors ride the tram from parking structure to park.

"This adjustment provides additional convenience to guests as they only go through screening once to enjoy the parks and Downtown Disney, unless they return to their car or hotel," they said.

So, next time you visit Disneyland, the journey to and from Downtown Disney will be a breeze.
