Disneyland Unveils Plans for the Revamped Classic Ride 'Rivers of America'
Some of Disneyland's oldest and dearest rides closed down this weekend to make room for Star Wars attractions and renovations.

Disneyland officials today released an artistās rendering to let fans know what they can expect when the Rivers of America attraction reopens following a renovation that includes a new riverfront.
The theme parkās Rivers of America and the Disneyland Railroad were closed over the weekend to make way for the new Frontierland waterfront. Itās not clear when the work will begin.

The project will include an elevated trestle for the trains to go over, and the Mark Twain Riverboat and Sailing Ship Columbia will sail through the Rivers of America. The river surrounds Pirateās Lair and Tom Sawyerās Island.
As the work commences, the parkās visitors will get to see some of the steam engines used in the park for decades, with engineers on hand to offer interesting tidbits of information about the machines.

The new waterfront will be just outside the new Star Wars-themed attractions.
