
The Los Angeles Dodgers chose a Los Alamitos High School grad as one of their draft picks.
Greg Harris, a right-hander, was selected in the 17th round, according to a Dodgers news release. Harris is the son of 15-year Major League Baseball veteran pitcher Greg Harris.
Greg’s father played for a number of teams from 1981 to 1995: the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, the Texas Rangers, the Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos.

Overall, the Dodgers selected 21 pitchers (14 right-handers, seven left-handers), nine infielders, six catchers and four outfielders. The club used 31 picks on college players and selected nine high school prospects.
