Does anyone know of any one or two bedroom rental in Seal Beach that would take an OUTDOOR, quiet, well behaved, loved 11 yr. old Lab? Just need a patio, side yard, or small fenced in area. Cement is fine. Owners walk him twice a day and for the last 2 years, hasn’t missed a single morning at the dog beach playing with friends…so he sleeps all day!
Reason I’m posting- For Seal Beach being so family and pet friendly, finding a Landlord that actually likes dogs, or even kids for that matter, is almost impossible. Few will take an indoor dog or cat, but must be small and under 15 pounds. The renters I’m writing about have owned their own home for 29 years, and currently rent out their place to a family with a beloved dog. They have great credit, clean, stable, amazing neighbors, income not an issue AND they want to stay long term. The only thing holding them back is their dog. Rentals here are going for top dollar, yet most are not remodeled, no garage, need paint, old carpet, and original kitchen. But even with a pet large pet deposit, none will take an outdoor dog.
This retired couple I’m writing about loves Seal Beach and they don’t want to leave but after 8 months of looking, they are out of options. Their current lease is up in 40 days, the owners of the home they are currently renting have decided to move to Seal Beach themselves.
