Donate Blood, Get An Amazon Gift Card: Drives Near Seal Beach

SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach residents who donate blood during the month of February will automatically receive a $10 Amazon gift card, the American Red Cross said in a statement.

In addition, residents who donate blood during February will be entered to win a trip for two to Clearwater Beach, Florida.

"As the American Red Cross continues to monitor seasonal challenges that could impact the blood supply, donors are urged to make and keep appointments to help prevent a shortage in the weeks to come," an American Red Cross statement said.

Donors of all blood types — especially type O blood donors — and platelet donors are being requested by the American Red Cross.

In Seal Beach, residents can schedule to make an appointment to donate blood here.

The American Red Cross will host blood drives at the following locations this February:

• Feb. 22, 9:30 a.m. through 4 p.m. — City of Seal Beach, 3131 N Gate Rd.
• Feb. 20, 11:30 a.m. through 6 p.m. — Westminster Mall, 2031 Westminster Mall.
• Feb. 21, 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. — Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 11600 Los Alamitos Blvd.
• Feb. 28, 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. — Los Alamitos Medical Center, 3751 Katella Ave
