30th Annual Los Alamitos Race on the Base

The 30th Annual Los Alamitos Race on the Base, presented by the City of Los Alamitos, the California National Guard and the Cancer Support Foundation, will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Los Alamitos Army Airfield.  The races will take place on the Joint Forces Training Base runways and will feature helicopters, planes and military vehicles with music throughout the course.  Last year's event saw an incredible turnout with approximately 6,000 participants, spectators and volunteers in attendance.  A variety of events will be featured including 5k and 10k runs, a 5k walk in cooperation with the Cancer Support Foundation and a 10K in-line skate/wheelchair.  Free triathlon informational clinics will also be held to help participants prepare in advance.
