Join an Aquarium of the Pacific naturalist for a guided, two-hour paddle around the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Preserve. This is low-intensity trip that will help beginners gain a basic knowledge of kayaking.
Single and double kayaks are available. Participants must register for this class, which will meet at the preserve. Kayakers must be at least 11, and those younger than 16 must be enrolled with a parent.
Cost is $58 per person, $53 members.
