
I have never understood the expression, “I am a morning person”. Who actually LIKES to roll over and see the blaring red numbers on an alarm clock telling you that you only have five more minutes of sleep? Especially in the winter, is anyone actually excited to climb out of their warm and comfy bed to go to work all day? I don’t think so.
So, you ask, why should I get up even earlier than I have to in order to exercise? Here are a few reasons why you should exercise in the morning instead of waiting until the evening, or skipping your workout all together! *gasp!*

1. Over 90% of the people who exercise consistently do so in the morning. If you want to maintain your workout schedule, aim for a morning routine. Getting it done in the morning leaves less of a chance for ‘life’ to get in the way!
2. When you exercise early in the morning, you will jump-start your metabolism. This means that you will burn more calories through out the day.

3. Your morning workout will enhance your mood for the day; you will feel better about yourself!
4. Those who take the time to exercise in the morning typically make healthier eating choices during the day. With this healthy mindset, you won’t want to ruin your hard work. Exercise also tends to regulate your appetite for the day.
5. Your body will get used to waking up for your exercise routine and will be ready to workout!
Try it! But not just for a week; you need to give your body a chance to get into a rhythm. If you get up early every day, you will find that waking up to exercise gets easier.
