GARDEN GROVE, CA — A man entered a Garden Grove cafe Tuesday, armed with a knife and a gun, and fired multiple shots, police say. The shooting spree ended when the unidentified 47-year-old man took his own life.

Homicide investigators learned that the shooter walked into the cafe and confronted several customers inside.

The victim drove himself to a hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect then confronted other customers inside the cafe, pulled a gun, and started firing at them, but none were hit as they ran from the business, according to Burillo. At last, the gunman walked toward the restroom area of the cafe and took his own life by one self-inflicted gunshot, Burillo said.
The name of the gunman was not released, and there was no ongoing threat to the public, Burillo said.
Anyone with information about the confrontations or shooting was asked to call detectives at 714-741-5810.
