Guns Stolen In Garden Grove Gun Shop Smash And Grab
Police say 40 guns were stolen from a Garden Grove gun store on Valley View Street early Thursday morning.
GARDEN GROVE, CA āApproximately 40 guns and rifles were stolen overnight from a Garden Grove gun store, officials say.
Just after 12:15 a.m. Thursday, Garden Grove police officers responded where the thieves broke through the front door at Whitten Sales gun shop at the 12800 block of Valley View Street.
"Police saw the door had been shattered," Garden Grove Police spokesperson Sgt. Erick Ley said.

The owner of the business viewed the break-in over live surveillance footage, according to Ley.
The video showed at least one suspect was inside his business, but the suspects drove away from the scene in two separate vehicles prior to the arrival of the officers.

The thieves apparently stole the weapons from a safe inside the business. It is not known how they broke into the safe, or if it was locked at the time of the crime.
Police say the getaway vehicles were described as a blue BMW and a silver BMW.
