Hazmat Spill Prompts Closure On 405 Freeway: Sig Alert

The spill was reported at 9:34 a.m. and prompted California Highway Patrol officers to issue a SigAlert for the area.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — A hazmat spill stalled traffic on the State route 405 Freeway traveling northbound on Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The spill was reported on the freeway traveling near Euclid Street in Fountain Valley and prompted officers to close three lanes on the freeway.

The spill also resulted in CHP officers issuing a SigAlert for an "unknown duration of time."
