High Humidity, Lots Of Heat In Seal Beach Through Friday

SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach residents will not get much of a reprieve from the heat until this weekend, according to an extended heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service Monday.

The excessive heat advisory was extended until Friday, according to a NWS report, as Orange County gets scorched by an ongoing late-summer heat wave that ushered in triple-digit temperatures starting last week.

On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures in Seal Beach will drop from the blistering '90s to the mid-'80s, according to Accuweather. While temperatures will inch down, humidity is expected to be at a high throughout the week.

Friday will likely bring in 90-degree weather with strong wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour throughout Orange County.

On Saturday, residents will likely experience cooler temperatures in the mid to low-'80s and monsoon thunderstorms, Accuweather said.

Residents looking to stay cool during the heat wave can visit any one of the city's cooling centers. Residents are asked to call beforehand to verify center hours.
