High Surf Advisory For OC Beaches: Seal Beach
High surf and strong rip currents due to Hurricane Rosa were expected through Oct. 2, the National Weather Service said. Time to surf, OC?

SEAL BEACH, CA — The National Weather Service released a coastal hazard message Thursday afternoon stating that swells associated with Hurricane Rosa would impact the south facing beaches Saturday evening through Tuesday.
Waves and surf, between 5 and 8 feet, with sets up to 10 feet were expected and strong rip currents will occur.
Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea, and large breaking waves can wash people off jetties and rocks, as well as capsize small boats near shore, the NWS said.
