High Surf Advisory For Seal Beach

With the coming weather system, a High Surf Advisory was expected throught the week.

SEAL BEACH, CA - Orange County beaches can expect higher than normal surf Wednesday afternoon through Friday morning, the National Weather Service reported.

A medium to long-range west swell will generate high surf for the remainder of the week, particularly
in south County.

Swell and surf will gradually subside late Friday, they said.

Expect waves and and surf from 3 to 5 feet with sets to 7 feet in Orange County.

The swell and surf were expected to build Wednesday, peak on Thursday and gradually subside Friday.

Beachgoers can expect strong rip currents. There is risk of drowning with
dangerous swimming conditions, and localized beach erosion was
possible.

Always swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone.
