Hit And Run In Seal Beach Prompts Police Search

A silver 2000 vehicle was seen in the area of a hit and run collision with a pedestrian. Seal Beach Police are seeking this suspect.

SEAL BEACH, CA — The Seal Beach Police department is seeking the assistance of the public in an investigation of a hit and run traffic collision. On March 2nd, 2017 at just before 6 p.m. a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was entering her car, Seal Beach Police Department Sgt. Michael Henderson said.

"The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway at 15th Street in the City of Seal Beach," he said. "The suspect vehicle failed to stop and was last seen driving southbound on Pacific Coast Highway."

Surveillance video captured images of a possible suspect vehicle turning west onto Anderson Street from Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach in the City of Huntington Beach.

"The suspect vehicle is described as a possible mid-2000’s gray or silver Subaru with roof racks," Henderson said. "The suspect vehicle likely sustained damage to the passenger side of the vehicle and is missing the passenger side mirror."
