Seal Beach's Rose Parade Committee is giving residents and even non-residents a chance to ride on the city's float in the 2015 parade.
The last time the city was in the world-famous parade was 1951, according to an email the committee sent. In March, officials learned their bid to make another appearance was accepted this year.
"2015 will mark the fourth time Seal Beach has participated in the Rose Parade and this proves to be the most historic of them all as Seal Beach celebrates it's 100th year as an incorporated city," said Robert Aguilar, Jr., committee chairman.
To help drum up financial support, the committee is holding an opportunity drawing for those willing to donate to the float fund. Four donors will be selected to ride in the parade with a guest of their choice.
