Huntington Beach Air Show Memories: Patch Photos Of The Week

This OC military family headed out to see the planes at the Huntington Beach Air Show while playing on the beach. Comment with your pics!

SEAL BEACH, CA — The weekend Huntington Beach Air Show had many Orange County residents looking up, watching the Blue Angels and other aircraft showcase military prowess, exciting dips and turns and writing up the sky with con-trails.

Mother and military wife Christie McKearn took her children to see the sights on a weekend day.

"My kids were awed by everything for the first hour, then they just wanted to play at the beach!," McKearn said of the day. "The juxtaposition of beach fun plus airshow seriously left us awed."

Moving to Southern California from the east coast, they had been told this air show was something not to be missed.

"When we moved out here is was one of 'must-see's' we were told about," McKearn said. "The Blue Angels were amazing and in addition to their right maneuvers, the criss-crossing runs right at each other stopped my heart every time! My son and daughter kept pointing and going 'woaaaaaaah!' It lived up to expectations and beyond!"

Better than fireworks, and on a sunny, fun filled day, it was a great weekend to get out and Go Play.
