Knife-Wielding Man Fought Off By Dog Owner In OC Saturday: Report
The suspect reportedly held the pit bull in a headlock while holding a knife in Westminster.
WESTMINSTER, CA ā A man was arrested Saturday after he reportedly held a pit bull in a headlock while holding a knife at a strip mall in Westminster, the OC Register reported.
According to the report, the owner of the dog had parked his truck at a strip mall in the 16400 block of Magnolia Saturday afternoon. He went inside of a store, and left his pit bull in the truck's front seats, the report said.
When the dog owner returned to his truck a few minutes late, he found 34-year-old Miguel Garcia-Gonzalez sitting in the truck's driver seat, Westminster Police officials told the OC Register.

Garcia-Gonzalez was holding the pit bull in a headlock with his right arm and holding a knife in his left hand, the report said. The owner of the dog then approached the man and a confrontation in which the dog owner shot Garcia-Gonzalez with a stun gun ensued.
Neither the man nor his pit bull were injured, police said. Garcia-Gonzalez was arrested and booked in jail and has not yet been charged.
