Los Al High Show Choir Wins 2 National Grand Championships

Show choir members from Los Alamitos High School won two National Grand Championships at a national competition this weekend in Nashville.
Performing on the stage of the legendary Grand Ole Opry, two choir squads won the top trophy in their categories. Los Alamitos SOUNDFX won the AAA Mixed Division, and was given special recognition for Outstanding Vocals and Outstanding Visual Effects.

Los Alamitos SOUNDTRAX won top honors in the Women's Division and was recognized for Outstanding Overall Effect, Outstanding Vocals, Outstanding Visuals and Outstanding Stage Crew.
The choirs are directed by David Moellenkamp.

More than 400 Los Alamitos High School students sing in choirs at the school, which has about 3,100 students.
