Man With Machete Triggers Lockdown At OC Hospital
The lockdown was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at UCI Los Alamitos Medical Center.
LOS ALAMITOS, CA — A Los Alamitos hospital was placed under lockdown late Wednesday morning, police said.
Los Alamitos Medical Center, located on 3751 Katella Avenue, was placed on lockdown at around 10 a.m., according to eyewitness reports.
"The Los Alamitos Police Department is currently assisting the Long Beach Police Department in the area of UCI Medical Center," the Los Alamitos Police Department said in a Facebook post. "Please stay out of the area until further notice."

Police did not immediately elaborate on the cause of the lockdown.
A video posted on Citizen App showed a shirtless man wearing sunglasses and wielding a machete standing and shouting in front of the hospital.

According to an eyewitness report, the man was taken into custody shortly after 11 a.m. after authorities rubber bullets were fired and police K-9s were released.
