Los Alamitos And JFTB Sign Agreement For Race On The Base

The City thanks the California Military Department and JFTB for their partnership with the community to be able to host the event at JFTB.

LOS ALAMITOS-SEAL BEACH, CA - From The City of Los Alamitos: The City of Los Alamitos is pleased to announce the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) and the City of Los Alamitos for the upcoming 37 th Annual Southland Credit Union Los Alamitos Race on the Base on February 23 rd – 24 th , 2018. The City thanks the California Military Department and JFTB for their continued partnership with the community to be able to host the long standing community event at the JFTB. The City is also grateful for Congressman Lowenthal, Senator Nguyen, Assemblyman Allen, and Supervisor Steel for their outstanding support of the military and this regional event.

Race on the Base has become the signature event for the City of Los Alamitos and the largest reverse triathlon event in the country. Marketing year round has brought positive exposure throughout all of Southern California spotlighting the City of Los Alamitos and the Joint Forces Training Base as a wonderful community partner and location of Race on the Base. Participation in the event has maintained above 4,000 with over 500 volunteers and over 4,000 spectators in attendance. Its remarkable success would not be possible without the Joint Forces Training Base as our host, along with our sponsors, vendors, and volunteer efforts from Los Alamitos area service clubs, churches, individuals, and families who participate each year.
