Los Alamitos Jr. Pee Wee Basketball Starting Soon

Kids, age 3-5, are invited to learn the skills such as dribbling and shooting, while also learning the value of being part of a team!

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Is there anything more adorable than watching the little ones learn to play sports? We love the thrill and sense of achievement you can see on their faces, and so can you! so Los Al parents, this one is for you. It's time to register for Jr. Pee Wee Basketball!

Kids aged 3.5 to 4 years old are invited to participate in the Los Alamitos Jr. Pee Wee Basketball program hosted by the Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department – Where we are ā€œCreating Quality of Lifeā€ through people, parks, and programs.

"The five week program from November 5 th to December 10th is a great and fun way to introduce your child to the game of basketball," Los Alamitos Youth Sports Specialist, Jayme Smith told Patch.

Each class is designed to teach children the fundamentals of basketball such as dribbling, shooting, and defensive skills in a small, clinic-style group format, Smith said.

The games will be played towards the end of the program to highlight skills taught.

Practice will be held at the Oak Gymnasium every Monday from 5:30-6:15 p.m. A uniform T-shirt and trophy are included in the registration fee.
