Los Alamitos Senior Grocery Program Gets New Location And Time

Seniors in Los Alamitos will have a new location for grocery pickup in July. Here's what you need to know.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — On Tuesday, July 7, the City of Los Alamitos Senior Grocery Program sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding America will take place at the American Legion Post 716 parking lot (3252 Florista St, Los Alamitos 90720).

Distribution will take place weekly every Tuesday afternoon from 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. to the first 200 participants on a first come, first serve basis.

In order to protect public health, the program will take place via "drive-thru" and the participants are not encouraged to arrive early due to space constrictions.

The line to receive groceries will begin on Oak Street outside the Community Center (10911 Oak Street, Los Alamitos 90720) and upon arrival, City staff will direct participants to the American Legion Post 716 parking lot.

The Senior Grocery Program sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding America provides free groceries to adults 60 years and older. Grocery items consist of fresh produce and when available, non-perishable food items.
