Lunch on board the Titanic Lecture

Join us, two miles down into the
deep for, Lunch aboard the Titanic, with
Captain Don Walsh.

Thought to be unsinkable when she
was built, the Titanic, was the largest ship on the water of her time.  During her maiden voyage in April 1912, she
collided with an iceberg.  Nearly 70
years after her tragic sinking, Dr. Robert Ballard discovered the Titanic at
the bottom of the North Atlantic using Alvin,
a manned submersible.  Her whereabouts
became famous, and shortly afterwards, tourists began descending below to visit
the shipwreck.
