Man Scales Supreme Scream Tower At Knott's Berry Farm

Police were called to Knott's Berry Farm Saturday, where most rides were shut off after a man climbed to the top of the Supreme Scream ride.

BUENA PARK, CA — A man climbed to the top of the Supreme Scream ride's tower at Knott's Berry Farm on Saturday night, prompting the park to shut down most of the rides as emergency crews worked to get get the man down safely, officials said.

La Palma Avenue, between Beach Boulevard and Western Avenue, was temporarily closed and officials asked the public to steer clear of the area around 8 p.m., Buena Park Police tweeted.

Buena Park Police and the Orange County Fire Authority were able to bring the man down to safety.

It is unclear exactly how the man was able to scale the side of the towering structure or why he chose to climb the structure.

The man was taken to a hospital for evaluation, KTLA reported.
