Motorcycle Crash Injures 1 In Seal Beach: SigAlert

Traffic on the 405 Freeway was snarled for miles after a motorist was injured on the freeway traveling through Seal Beach.

SEAL BEACH, CA — At least one person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on the 405 Freeway traveling south through Seal Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash was reported at at 2:11 p.m. after a motorist was said to be "lying down" in the freeway's #1 lane near the 405 Freeway/605 Freeway junction.

The crash prompted officials to issue a SigAlert for the area at 2:46 p.m. The SigAlert is expected to half for a half-hour while authorities assess the scene.

As of 2:59 p.m., traffic on the freeway's junction was backed up several miles. Motorists were urged to avoid the area.
