Motorcyclist Flung From 22 Overpass In Orange County: CHP
The motorcycle rider apparently lost control of the bike on a Santa Ana freeway transition road Monday.
ORANGE, CA — A motorcyclist died after apparently losing control of their bike on an Orange County freeway transition road and was flung from an overpass Saturday.
The crash happened at 2:36 p.m. Saturday on the transition from the eastbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway to the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP that a man wearing all black flew off a blue motorcycle and landed in a dirt area of the right-hand shoulder.

Witnesses also said the rider went over the overpass and was not moving on the ground below.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name was not released.

The transition from the eastbound Garden Grove Freeway to the northbound Santa Ana Freeway was shut down for nearly three hours for the investigation and clean up.
