Motorcyclist Killed In Seal Beach On 405 Freeway: CHP

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that a motorcyclist was killed near the Seal Beach Boulevard exit Thursday morning.

SEAL BEACH, CA – The California Highway Patrol reports that a motorcyclist was killed near the Seal Beach Boulevard exit on the northbound 405 Freeway in Seal Beach early Thursday morning.

Preliminary CHP reports indicate a big rig and motorcycle crashed in the leftmost lanes of the freeway at 4:44 a.m.. The coroner's office was called to the scene about 35 minutes later.

All lanes were temporarily closed as a result of the wreck, leading to a sigalert.

By 11:30 a.m. Thursday, traffic on the freeway was backed up from Seal Beach as far as Westminster. Motorists were strongly advised to avoid the area.
