Motorcyclist Severely Injured In 22 Freeway, Euclid Offramp Crash

GARDEN GROVE, CA —A motorcyclist suffered what were described as major injuries in a crash on the 22 Freeway in Garden Grove, authorities said Monday.

The crash was reported at 11:15 p.m. Sunday on the westbound Garden Grove Freeway at the Euclid Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was reportedly lying on the right shoulder and the motorcycle was blocking two left freeway lanes, the CHP said. It was not clear whether the blocked lanes included the HOV lane.

The Euclid Street off-ramp was temporarily shut down so firefighters could tend to the injured motorcyclist.

The condition of the motorcyclist was not known as of this report.
