Motorist Killed On 405 Freeway Sunday Afternoon: CHP

SEAL BEACH, CA — A motorist died Sunday afternoon on the 405 Freeway traveling south through Seal Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The fatal crash was reported on the 405 Freeway traveling south near Seal Beach Boulevard at 3:48 p.m., reports said. The crash involved a motorcycle and a Chrysler and prompted authorities to issue a SigAlert for the area while the scene was investigated.
According to preliminary reports, authorities were dispatched to the area after a motorist was seen on the roadway with an "arm bent." The identity of the deceased man was not released.

By 5:05 p.m., the freeway traveling south was stalled with traffic stretching back roughly three miles.
No other injuries were reported.
