Powerball Yields No Big Winners; SuperLotto SoCal Ticket Matches 5 Numbers

Powerball saw no winners drawing all six numbers. The jackpot grows to $91 million; a Southern California winner for 5 numbers in SuperLotto

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — For Wednesday night's Powerball lottery drawing, there were no tickets sold with all six numbers. The estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing is expected to grow to $91 million.

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was sold in Iowa and is worth $1 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.

The numbers drawn tonight were 8, 18, 27, 29, 60 and the Powerball number was 15.

The estimated jackpot was $80 million.

The drawing was the fifth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.

In the SuperLotto, a Southern California winner was drawn with 5 numbers, minus the mega number for a ticket worth over $42,000.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Wednesday night's SuperLotto Plus drawing and the estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing will grow to $41 million.

The ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number will yield the ticket holder $42,164, the California Lottery announced. The ticket was sold at the Monarch Beach Market in Dana Point, and is located at 24040 Camino Del Avion.

The numbers drawn tonight were 9, 13, 27, 33, 40 and the Mega number was 8. The estimated jackpot was $40 million.

The drawing was the 34th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 41,416,353, according to the California Lottery.
