Noisy Planet a Great Resource for Parents and Teens

We are seeing an alarming increase in hearing loss among adolescents, due in part to the use of earbuds. Noisy Planet is a website funded by the National Institutes of Health through the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communications Disorders. It was created to promote healthy hearing habits to parents and preteens. The site includes a wealth of information on how parents can help protect their kids’  hearing, live Twitter chats with experts on noise-induced hearing loss, a Tweenzone with fun facts (did you know cicadas can make as much noise as a rock concert, at a sound level reaching over 90 decibels?) and more.
