O.C. Pastor Arrested, Accused Of Rape, Child-Sex Crimes

ANAHEIM, CA — A 53-year-old pastor at an Anheim church was arrested Thursday on several sex-related charges, including rape and lewd acts on a minor, after three teenage victims were confirmed, and police are appealing to additional victims to come forward, according to authorities.

Rolando Fuentes, a pastor at the Centro Familiar Cristiano Peniel Church, was taken into custody on a warrant for charges including multiple counts of suspicion of lewd acts on a minor, suspicion of rape, suspected sexual and domestic battery and suspicion of child annoyance, the Anaheim Police Department said.

The first alleged victim came forward to police in late November, Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.

The allegations span a two-year period at least, Carringer said.

"The central connection for everyone involved is the church," Carringer said.

He would not disclose the ages of the alleged victims, but said they were all in their late teens when the alleged attacks happened, Carringer said. Two of them are now adults now, he said.

Fuentes and his wife, Isolina, established CFC Peniel, located at 225 N. State College Blvd. in Anaheim, in 2008 and have four children, according to the church's website. located at 225 N. State College Blvd. in Anaheim.

Anyone who was a possible victim or knows of additional victims is asked to call the Anaheim police at 714-765-1697. The department stated that its duty is "to protect all members of the Anaheim community regardless of race or legal status. The Anaheim Police Department stands ready to protect victims of crime and we are here to provide you services, no matter what your background."

Fuentes is jailed in Orange County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail, officials said.
