HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - The Orange County Rescue Mission recently partnered with TravisMathew, an established sportswear brand based in Huntington Beach, to host the OC Rescue Mission Invitational presented by TravisMathew, a fundraising golf tournament held at the SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach.

The Rescue Mission set a donation goal of $150,000 for the all-day event and exceeded this goal by more than 35 percent, or over $55,000, collecting a total of more than $205,000 in net proceeds, according to Jim Palmer, President of the Orange County Rescue Mission.

“This event was born out of our growing partnership with an exceptional locally-based company, TravisMathew, and raised much-needed funds to help provide a fresh start for those who are seeking a transformation in their lives,” says Palmer. “These donations will help support our 95 different services offered to residents at the Orange County Rescue Mission, including healthcare, counseling, and career and education opportunities.”

Golf enthusiasts were offered a variety of event package options for the July 26 event, ranging from $100 to $10,000, which included opportunities to enjoy a game of golf for two, on course food and beverages provided by Ola Mexican Kitchen and Mahé Restaurant among others, a cocktail reception, catered dinner, an 80’s tribute concert by Knyght Ryder, a TravisMathew shopping experience, and a live auction.

“We worked closely with the TravisMathew team to create an event that would be entertaining and unique for the participants and donors,” continues Palmer. “The success of this fundraiser is a testament to the local interest in the company and event, as well as the generosity of our Orange County community.”
