Los Al Candy Maven Serves Up Sweet Success

Los Alamitos High alum Jackie Sorkin's sugary confections have landed in a Taiwan museum and on the tables of Oprah, Katy Perry and Dr. Phil.

A Los Alamitos grad made it big in Candyland ... and the world.

Jackie Sorkin's Hollywood Candy Girls – based in Los Alamitos – has served up sweets to a number of famous people, including Oprah, Katy Perry, Dr. Phil and Paris Hilton, according to the Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register.

Sorkin, known for her candy art and sculptures, also starred in the TLC reality show Candy Queen. You can see clips of some of the episodes here.

Sorkin was recently asked to help make 40 pieces for a candy museum in Taiwan. Her company also does corporate events, fashion shows, birthday parties and red carpet premieres.
