SEAL BEACH, CA ā Voters from Orange County's 48th congressional district headed to the polls Tuesday in one of the more interesting races in California's November 6, 2018 election.

Democrat Harley Rouda is looking to unseat longtime Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher in the coastal 48th District. That district includes Seal Beach, Sunset Beach, Huntington Beach, Midway City, along with sections of Westminster, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, San Juan Capistrano, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Beach and Laguna Niguel.

The race remains one of the most closely watched in the nation because it's one Democrats hope to flip in order to take control of the U.S. House of Representatives. Voting by mail has already begun in the district, and by Nov. 6, voters in the 48th District has that rare opportunity to make a political statement on the national stage.
