Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle On 22 Freeway

GARDEN GROVE, CA — A man was killed Saturday night when he was hit by a vehicle while walking in the center divider of the California State route 22 freeway in Garden Grove, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The man was identified as Trung Tram, 38, according the City News Service. Information about his city of residence was not immediately released.

Tram was found on the eastbound side of the freeway near Brookhurst Street around 9 p.m., according to the CHP. He died at the scene, authorities said.

It is not yet clear why Tram was on the freeway, and no arrests were reported.

There was no further information immediately available pending investigation.
