Pedestrian Struck, Killed On 22 Freeway Wednesday Morning
Traffic was backed up for miles Wednesday morning after a fatality was reported on the Garden Grove freeway in Westminster.
WESTMINSTER, CA — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Wednesday on the Garden Grove 22 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The person was injured at around 5:15 a.m. on the westbound freeway at Beach Boulevard. The victim died at the scene.
The victim was described as a man whose age was not known. According to the California Highway Patrol report log, the man was wearing all-black clothing and was walking in the lanes.

The cause of the death were under investigation Wednesday morning.
The fatality prompted authorities to issue a SigAlert for the Garden Grove Freeway traveling westbound toward Long Beach. All lanes of traffic on the freeway were jammed as of 9:30 a.m.
