Pileup Closes 5 Freeway at 22 Junction
One person was injured in a crash involving two big rigs.
One person was injured today in a multi-vehicle crash in Santa Ana, prompting the closure of five lanes of the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, authorities said.
The crash, involving a big rig and two other vehicles, occurred on the freeway’s southbound lanes, beneath the Garden Grove (22) Freeway overpass, around 3:30 a.m. The big rig overturned, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A SigAlert was declared, with three lanes closed until at least 5 a.m., according to the CHP’s incident log.
