Police ID 'Person Of Interest' In Killing Of Huntington Beach Man

WESTMINSTER, CA — Westminster police Wednesday identified a "person of interest" wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a Huntington Beach man.

Police were looking for Donald Nichols in connection with the Sunday shooting of 41-year-old Donald Joshua Ratzlaff of Huntington Beach.

While authorities said that while Nichols is not considered a suspect, they believe that he may know something about the killing, Commander Kevin MacCormick of the Westminster Police Department told City News Service.

Nichols is 5-foot-11 and weighs about 220 pounds and has hazel eyes and brown hair, authorities said. Anyone who knows where he is was asked to call detectives at 714-548-3773 or 714-548-3759, or email mlopez@westminster-ca.gov or mpierson@westminster-ca.gov.
