Police Swarm Old Town Seal Beach Thursday After Carjacking
A police presence was reported in downtown Seal Beach Thursday morning after a high-risk car stop.
SEAL BEACH, CA — A police presence was reported in Old Town Seal Beach Thursday morning, and residents were urged to keep clear of the area, authorities said.
The police presence was reported at 10 a.m. in the area of Electric Avenue and 7th Street, after police were called to initiate a high-risk car stop in response to a carjacking that started out of Norwalk, Seal Beach Police Department Lieutenant Julia Clasby told Patch.
During the traffic stop, the vehicle failed to yield and crashed with a parked car in the Mary Wilson Library Parking lot, she said.

At least three people fled on foot from the vehicle, authorities said. According to Clasby, two of those suspects were detained and the third is still at large.
The suspects were not identified by police.
