Prius Hits, Kills Pedestrian On 405 Freeway Traveling Through OC: CHP
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 8:43 p.m. Monday in the City of Westminster.
WESTMINSTER, CA — A pedestrian was killed Monday when they were hit by a car on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Westminster, police said.
The crash happened shortly before 8:43 p.m. Monday on the southbound side of the freeway just north of Westminster Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of a white Toyota Prius told the CHP the man jumped in front of their car.

A search for the pedestrian followed, and the person was found with major injuries on the right shoulder of the freeway 15 minutes later.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name, age and gender was not immediately available.
