Recycle Christmas Tree In Los Alamitos 2022: Republic Services

Thursday is National Christmas Tree Pickup Day. Are you still holding onto your Christmas tree?

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Is it time to undeck your halls? Chances are your Christmas tree now lacks its luster, is shedding needles, or looks more like a dead stick. As difficult as it is to say "goodbye" to our annual Christmas totems, now is the time to stow away your ornaments and tinsel for another day and set your tree outside to be recycled.

Residents of Los Alamitos have just under two weeks to recycle their dried-out Christmas trees, according to Republic Services. The exclusive recycling and waste collection service for the Los Alamitos area described the process for proper Christmas tree recycling.

"Republic Services will collect Christmas trees commencing the day after Christmas and culminating two weeks after December 25th," a spokesperson said.
