Republicans to Tackle Foreign Police at State GOP Convention in OC
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Ed Royce Former and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton to speak.
Foreign policy will be the subject of the lunch and dinner banquets today at the California Republican Party Fall Convention at the Anaheim Marriott.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Ed Royce, R-Fullerton, will speak at the lunch banquet. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton will speak at the dinner banquet.
āFrom the Iran deal to China and Russia, we need to change the direction of Americaās foreign policy,ā said Bolton, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in 2005 and 2006. He is now a foreign policy senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.

Bolton was a late replacement for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who withdrew last week to focus his efforts on the early primary states, California Republican Party communications director Kaitlyn MacGregor said.
A variety of committee meetings and roundtable discussions are also scheduled for today, including one on āWinning the Womenās Vote,ā featuring Sen. Pat Bates, R-Laguna Niguel, the chairman of the Republican Party of Orange Countyās Womenās Subcommittee.

The three-day convention is set to conclude Sunday with delegates voting on various resolutions
The theme of the convention is āFoundation for Success,ā which was chosen āas a reflection of the great work done over the last few years to get more Republicans elected to office and build a strong ground game that will help launch us into a successful 2016 election cycle,ā MacGregor told City News Service.
