Rossmoor Woman Dies In House Fire, Firefighter Injured
An older woman lost her life at her home in Rossmoor. An Orange County Fire Authority firefighter injured his leg battling the fire, Monday.

ROSSMOOR, CA ā A Rossmoor home caught fire early Monday, leaving one woman dead, authorities said. Two others were injured as a result of the blaze, according to reports.
Firefighters raced to the scene at the 12500 block of Martha Ann Drive shortly before 6:30 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames from the Rossmoor home. Firefighters found the woman, a resident of the home, deceased.
The man, believed to be her husband, got out of the house on his own, officials told Patch. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition for treatment of smoke inhalation, the OCFA reported.

Information was not immediately available on the woman's identity.
They battled flames in about 40 minutes, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

One firefighter suffered a leg injury, possibly broken leg, and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Capt. Wynn told Patch.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
