ROSSMOOR, CA — The Rossmoor Woman’s Club is collecting items through February 28th for the Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House in Long Beach, a stone's throw from Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, knows they can't improve the taste of medicine or erase the pain that much-needed treatment causes. They do, however, lessen the burden for the families who take the outstretched helping hand. Since 1989, Ronald McDonald Houses across the nation have helped families stay together in times of health crisis by providing a place to rest and refresh, close to hospitals. They have also expanded to meet the urgent needs of our community, with the addition of two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located inside two area hospitals in Orange County.

Now, they need some items for their Pantry.

With organizations still not able to come in to cook meals for house guests, they need more grab-and-go kind of items, a spokesperson for the Rossmoor Woman's Club says.

The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House has provided comfort, care, and support to children and families in Southern California. Our hope is to create a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage, and joy by keeping families close to each other and the care they need.
