Seal Beach Man Arrested For Threatening Coworkers; Guns Seized

Authorities said the man brought firearms to his job a Belmont Heights pharmacy and made threats of shooting his coworkers.

LONG BEACH, CA — A Seal Beach man was arrested Monday after he was accused of bringing firearms to his place of work and threatening to shoot his coworkers at a Long Beach pharmacy, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

The man, identified as 35-year-old Aiken Bui, was booked for one count of threatening a crime with intent to terrorize and one count of possession of an assault weapon.

He was arrested on Monday, two days after a coworker called the police and told officers of the threats.

According to a Long Beach Police Department news release, detectives found out that Bui had access to multiple firearms and obtained a Gun Violence Emergency Protective Order to bar Bui from his weapons, as well as an arrest warrant.

Long Beach police officers found Bui driving in the area of his job in the 3500 block of East Broadway on Monday, the Orange County Register reported. They pulled him over and arrested him, authorities said.

Officers later searched Bui's home and found six firearms, including several illegal assault weapons.

He was released Tuesday after posting a $100,000 bail, the OC Register reported.
